Slovenia, 13th – 14th March 2024
The first face-to-face DALI4US partner meeting took place in Laško, Slovenia, on the 13th and 14th of March 2024. The partners met to discuss the project’s conceptual design and key focus activities, as well as needs and expectations, and took the opportunity of in-person meeting to also shift the usual format of discussion to interactive workshops, of which one was even held outdoors, walking along the beautiful Savinja river.
In the Laško partners’ meeting workshops, the consortium covered:
- Further development of the DALI4US Handbook (communication plan, risk management, budget, reporting)
- Harmonisation of the focus on the DALI4US data literacy framework (interpreting, processing, and evaluating information and data, storytelling, engaging with data, investigating data and making predictions, data sharing) and key competencies, skills, values, and attitudes promoted, developed, and supported by the project (wellbeing, active learning and lifelong learning, digital and data literacy, active citizenship, creativity, critical thinking, and more)
- Reflection on the first teacher trainers’ workshops in the project (tool adaptation for specific needs, methodological questions, teachers’ needs in cross-curricular collaboration to provide more interdisciplinary framework, defining clear objectives, problem-solving)
- Preparation of further teacher training and evaluation (next pilot to focus on at least at least 5 schools per country, 2 teachers per school, using 3 scenarios developed mostly in the first teacher trainers’ workshop in Slovenia)
- Possible updates of the Orange Data Mining tool – OrangeEDU is the central tool used in DALI4US teacher training and learning scenarios.
